Why do u recommend xylitol over Sucralose?

Great questions from Kriti.

Why do u recommend xylitol over Sucralose? I thought that xylitol DOES contain carbs, albeit in the form of sugar alcohol that has a low glycemic index. Even if it does not cause a sugar spike or affect insulin levels, it does provide a source of energy that is NOT fat, so doesn't it affect the continuity of fat metabolism in the body?

Thanks!

Yes, it does but to an amount that is about a quarter of that of glucose. However xylotol has a long history of other benefits, for example to the immune system, and it is a good compromise for a sweetener. The ideal would be to do without it at all, but for some that is just too restrictive, more so maybe in India as sugars are so prevalent in everything.
