Morning blood sugar?

Q. I've been following the Rosedale Diet for 12 days. Am getting great results but I have a hard time getting my energy up in the morning. Have tried eating nuts before I actually get up and eating right away when I get up, but it takes at least an hour before my low blood sugar fatigue subsides. What should I do? I am not on any medications, but after reading through your support questions, I will make sure I'm drinking enough water. Maybe my problem is the low blood pressure, not sugar, and will correct itself eventually.

Answer:
more likely due to low blood pressure or secondary to lowering insulin and loss of excess body fluid and low magnesium and potassium. You need to make sure that you are taking supplements with magnesium potassium and drink plenty of water... the symptoms should subside as you are now also approaching the end of the transition. great job! Also, get supplements in capsules and never tablet form.

Keep up the good work and keep us posted on your progress.

Update:
My symptoms stopped almost immediately after starting the potassium/magnesium capsules. Energy is great and the final fat pockets that never moved for any other way of eating are melting away!

Thank you!
