Blood tests?

I am a 28 yr Type I Diabetic that is 41 yrs of age. I was recommended to seek out you through Charley Cropley. I have worked w/Charley since 1983. What I wish to ask Dr. Rosedale is what tests would you recommend in general as far as blood work, hair analysis, and urine. I am wondering in this stage in my life if I'm deficient / excessive in any areas of required essentials, ect.

Answer:
Dr. Rosedale orders many different labs depending on many factors. However, these are the most common ones that I have seen. Though, also keep in mind that many doctors do read the results differently, often incorrectly. Also the results will vary with different labs as well. We have found that Labcorp is pretty consistent.

Standard labs

Complete chemistry screen. Should include triglycerides. (electrolytes, liver enzymes, creatinine, glucose, bun, uric acid, triglycerides, etc.)
Free T-3
TSH
C-peptide
serum leptin
VAP cholesterol (LDL size fractionation)
HbA1C
Homocysteine. (May or may not need to be repeated after 1st follow-up depending on results)
Ferritin. (May or may not need to be repeated after 1st follow-up depending on results)
CBC
