Acetyl-L-Carnitine vs. L-Carnitine Tartrate.

Q. Acetyl-L-Carnitine vs. L-Carnitine Tartrate. Which type of L-carnitine burns more fat and should be taken prior a workout? Can I take both? If so, how?

They do different things. I would take them both. Acetyl-L-carnitine protects the mitochondria better; L-carnitine shuttles fatty acids to be burned. They are best taken on an empty stomach, and does not matter much if taken before or after a workout.
