sharing lab test of protein amount - for Dr Rosedale
Hi Fiona
I checked the optimal protein amounts in urine test. I'm sure Ron will like to get it since it clarify optimal protein requirement for humans.
the test: urea nitrogen 24 hours
I actually was extremely meticulous with what I ate. also, I
checked body fat percentage with very good caliper.
i literally counted nuts, including protein content of every 0.1
protein.
the results:
1. in a day of resistance training:
a protein amount of 1.25per kilogram, on the 0.1 of protein, has
produced the result of 12.02 grams of urea nitrogen total.
for an exercising male.
the range of the test is 12-20. I can assume that 12 is the minimum
urea turnover that the body will want to produce.
my conclusion is 1.25 per net body weight is protein requirement
for an exercising individual.
- during the day after training, day-off:
protein amount of 1.25 per net body weight, has produced 12.6 grams of urea. 0.6 grams extra.
possible interpretation: during a rest day your protein requirement goes down. a simple calculation gives a 1.18-1.17 for an off day for an exercising individual. probably still some maintainance occur that requires extra protein.
if Ron would like to discuss the results, he can contact me in
my email.

Dear Rimon,
I know I keep saying this, you are the only one that Ron keeps saying adamantly that he will reply to you, I am sorry it keeps taking so long. If it was a quick response you know that would of happened months ago ;-) so that is a good thing right!
Hope all is well.
Fiona and Dr. Ron

Rimon, did you get an answer to your question? 1.25 gr of protein per 1kg of lean body mass seems to be a bit higher then dr. Rosedale recommends. So I'm curious as to your self-experiment. Keep us posted. thanks!

Dr Rosedale used in his study for exercising individual 1.25. but what I so that a day after it was reduced. I assume if you don't exercise for 3 days than you are back to 1.
