Hi,
I have Dr. Rosedale's book, copyright 2004. I am a diabetic on
oral medication only.
I have sucessfully, in the past, been able to stop all perscrbed
medications while following the Rosdale diet and supplements.
At some point, I strayed from my plan and eventually ended putting
on 15 or so pounds and returned to my perscription medications.
I am determined to get the weight back off my diabetes meds and
lose some addiontal pounds as well. I beleive about 25 total. I am
5' 61/2" and currently weigh 165.
I have 2 questions.
- The suplements in my copy (not sure if there is a newer edition) list Chromium Picolinate at 400 mcg in the moring and 400 mg the evening? Is this correct or should they both be 400 mcg morning and evening or 400 mg morning and evening?
I had 1/2 of my thyroid removed as they could not determine,
from fine needle aspiirations, if there were cancer cells present.
I am now on a low does of Levoththyroxine as my remaning lobe was
not keeping up.
I take my Thyroid medication in the evening before bedtime as it
too is good to take on an empty stomach and allow ample time for
absorption.
2. Can I take the Acetyl-L-Carnitine, L-Glutamine Powder,
L_Arginine, and Magnesium Potassium Aspartate with the Thyroid
medication?
Thanks
P.S. I realize I will still need to take my Thyroid medication even if I am able to get off of my oral diabetes medications as I only have one Thryroid lobe left. I have my Thyroid levels tested regularly so I will monitor this situation.

Thank you, that must be a typo, is should be 400 mcg. Dr. Ron said you can take the suggested supplements while taking thyroid medication.
Best of health.
