Insulin level measurement

I would like to have my insulin level checked.
My problem is that I don't understand the conditions under which it should be measured. I understand that Dr Rosedale has stated in his book that the fasting insulin should be 10 IU/mL or under. However under what diet?
Should this test be carried out while fat burning as under the Rosedale diet? Or have extra carbohydrate for a few days to prevent fat burning for the overnight fast to take the test? I think the results would probably be different.

Which method should I use?
Thanks

    Hi fhutt

I personally can not advise on this - Dr. Rosedale may at some point comment on your question, perhaps when things slow down for him.
