Dear Dr Rosedale

Please advise me on what he easiest way is for me to get Vanadyl Sulfate. I'm located in South Africa (Cape Town).

Lastly, besides Chromium and Vanadyl Sulfate is there any other supplements that you suggest in combating insulin resistance,?

Bis-ovo-vanadium is the best form, if you can get it there.

Here is a great starting point. Never get a tablet form always opt for capsules.

Multi vitamin with NO iron, a capsule with a smaller quantity, verses the larger horse pills. 1 x twice a day with food. Am/pm

Magnesium and potassium; 1capsule twice a day with or without food am/pm

L-Arginine 500 MG; 2 capsules AM and 2 capsules PM preferably on an empty stomach such as when you wake up and when you go to sleep

Acetyl l-carnitine 500mg; 1capsule twice a day on an empty stomach such as when you wake up and go to sleep

Alpha Lipoic acid 2-300mg; 1 capsule twice a day with food (important to take with food).

High Gamma E-400IU; 1oil gelcap daily

Fish oil; 1 tablespoon a day for the first 3 weeks then down to 1 teaspoon, or even a tablespoon 3 times a week. If you have already been taking fish oil, then no need for the first 3 week rule. The best is in a bottle, as most capsules are not fresh as they do not add enough vitamin E or other natural preservatives to maintain the freshness. Carlsons are a great brand for bottled oil, but not sure if you can get that there.

We are very excited, Dr Rosedale used to have a 3 products that combined most of these and so much more, which has not been available for about 3 years. Our past patients just could never find the same combination, quality or price, so we are going to be launching the new line in about 8 weeks. If you would like to receive the updates be sure to sign up on our website.

    Hope this helps a little.

    Health and Happiness,

    The Rosedale Team

Thanks Very much Fiona, it does help.

Not sure whether you remember my previous email where I complained about my sugar levels that went into disarray since the glucose tolerance test my GP put me thru'. I kept to a strict low carb high oils diet (the way Dr Rosedale explains) and then started taking Chromium. This brought back the insulin sensitivity I previously enjoyed. I am very impressed with the effect of chromium on insulin resistance.

I've also order Vanadyl Sulfate - hard to find though.

    With much appreciation

you are on the right path!

Also you asked the question about milk, which we also added to our Q and A.

    Q. Does Dr. Rosedale only advise against milk that is homogenized and pastuerized or does he also disapprove of raw, grass fed, humanely treated milk. Why does he feel milk is so bad for us when Weston Price is so much in favor of it? I am a little confused about this. The more I read the more I am convinced that Dr. Rosedale has the only plan that works and makes us into fat burning machines which makes us cleaner burning machines and much healthier, but I am trying to understand all the details.

    A. Milk, even milk that had all the best loving in the world, there is just nothing much good about milk as it still turns to sugar. The ingredients are the same, same protein, same fat, same sugar, the basic macro nutrients are the same. The type of sugar that is in milk is especially harmful and the kind of protein that is in milk is also not the greatest, causes lots of allergies and other things. The sugar in milk is lactose. Lactose is a combination of galactose and glucose. Glucose we all know is bad for you. Galactose is many times worse.
