Just checking the 50gm is not the weight of the salmon correct, the weight and the 50grms of protein are two different things, as the weight also would include fat and water.

Fionatag:drrosedale.tenderapp.com,2010-09-16:Comment/438982612017-11-21T03:16:50Z2017-11-21T03:16:50ZUric acid level.

Yes, the 50gm of salmon is the actual weight contributing about 11gm of protein. The rest of the protein is mainly in the nuts (walnuts and almonds) I have excluding the protein in the vegetables and avocado.
The total protein I have is a little less than 50gm since I want to lose some more weight.
I thought that the level of uric acid is the product of breaking down purines and food with proteins have the most purines. 50gm of protein would not produce a lot of purines.
So, I am puzzled as to why my uric acid is at such a level.

fhutttag:drrosedale.tenderapp.com,2010-09-16:Comment/438982612017-11-21T03:32:35Z2017-11-21T03:33:36ZUric acid level.

Yes that is a puzzle for sure. When Dr. Ron was seeing patients things like this would come up and when he would go over their labs and other items it was always clear as day to him what the issue was, I wish we could clone him and still have one of him seeing patients!

Fiona
