Hi,

I got introduced to Dr Rosedale diet and would like to follow it.

I am in India presently and have PCOD and Thyroid i am over obese 89kgs.

i have tried various ways exercise diet but cannot seem to reduce my weight.

I am about to start the diet and i am bit confused of the total amount of carbs that i can eat in a day.

I am 165 cm in height so total protein is 45 gms in a day which includes good fats as well.

But i am not sure how much of carb i can consume. I am vegetarian and eat egg as well.

Is there a menu that gives me tips ideas for what can be had for breakfast lunch snacks dinner for a Indian egg/vegetarian diet?

Regards,
Chaitra.

To my knowledge there is no specific menu but, there are many items that one can use to develop a personal menu - you can find many suggestions in the Rosedale Book that will give you pointers.

    • As far as the amount of carbs one can eat: it is best to eat less than 15g to 20g a day of non-fiber carbs. Non-fiber carbs have the potential to halt the burning of fat. Non-fiber carbs are not essential which many are not aware of. Eating to many non-fiber carbs will prevent the loss of weight and will leave you struggling with hunger.

    • Getting the Rosedale Book will help you understand many things concerning Dr. Rosedale's Diet.
