strong muscle, joint, and sinus pain when returning to Rosedale diet
I have in past been on the Rosedale diet but went off for a period. Upon resuming the diet I have had severe muscle, joint, and sinus pain. I supplement with the appropriate electrolytes (sodium, potassium, magnesium, and multiple vitamins and minerals) and I consume enough calories from healthy fat and oils. I follow the diet to the letter. Has anyone else experienced this?

You once made a post were you mentioned that you ate very little (veggies/carbs) - is this still the case? If so, what would be your daily intake (in grams) of veggies/carbs?

You mention:
I follow the diet to the letter
I supplement with the appropriate electrolytes (sodium, potassium, magnesium, and multiple vitamins and minerals)
I consume enough calories from healthy fat and oils.
Could you give specific details to the last two above please, also which of the two diets are you using?

When I'm on the Rosedale diet I eat between 15 and 20 grams of carb a day.

I eat a multi vitamin mineral, and about 2000-2500 calories a day on the
Rosedale diet. (in addition to my electrolytes)

How about:
Potassium daily amount?
Magnesium daily amount?
Which of the two diet plans?

400 mg potassium, 400 mg magnesium, and >1 tsp salt. This would be on the
Rosedale plan which within several days of starting I have to add carbs or
be in terrible pain.

It appears that you are taking a very basic minimum amount of magnesium & potassium.
Approximately how many grams of magnesium and potassium are you getting from your carbs?
If I remember correctly, you mentioned in some of your prior posts from 2014, you said that you didn't care much for carbs and at that time you only ate around 5 to 7 grams of carbs daily.
A couple years or so ago I realized that I wasn't getting near enough of magnesium/potassium, I had reduced my carbs substantially and still do to this day.
Anyway, after a few months my body pain became very rough. I got out of bed one morning and my left foot just wasn't working right and the first thought I had was that, "I had had a stroke".
Upon research, I came to understand that I was going through something called "floppy foot" or a type of "flaccid paralysis".
After further research, I realized that I wasn't getting enough potassium, and after a few weeks of experimenting I found the right amount of potassium increase.
No more problems with the body pain, or the gel-like/water accumulation in my feet and the calve muscles.
Now I realize my approach isn't something that everyone would do or want to do or should do and I do not advocate it.

I may have a quirky metabolic system, perhaps an "odd duck syndrome" (a scientific phrase for something like this. :-;
