Rosedale Diet on Coumadin

Hello,

I've recently had my aortic heart valve replaced with a mechanical valve, and now I'm on Coumadin for the rest of my life.

I am restricted on consuming leafy greens, which unfortunately, are a lot of the non-starchy vegetables described in the Rosedale Diet Book. Do you have any recommendations on how to safely follow the diet while on Coumadin?

I imagine that I could consume some of the leafy greens that are on the lower scale of having Vitamin K, but it would require that my dosage be adjusted.

   As I am Support only and not medical staff, it would be best for me to not try to give any advice, also, I believe it would be difficult for Dr. Rosedale, without having given you a full exam, advise as well. I am sorry to say that he has closed his private practice and no longer seeing patients or doing any consulting.

   Dr. Rosedale is devoting his time to conducting seminars globally, teaching his science to as many as possible, along with writing new material and is deep into research.

   To my knowledge Dr. Rosedale is not affiliated.

   Kat James is familiar with the Rosedale's Diet and may be of help - wouldn't hurt to ask her, explain your situation when contacting her.
