Almond Milk

I am just planning to start the diet but it so happens I switched to unsweetened, unflavored Almond Milk several years ago and haven't bought cow's milk ever since.

Almond milk is as far as I can find not mentioned in the Rosedale Diet book. There is one question online dating back five years ago that was answered that it was unhealthy but I believe it was relating to a version with added sugar.

So my question is whether Almond Milk, unsweetened without added flavors, fits with the Rosedale Diet. An example of such a product (with ingredients and nutritional info) is here:

It seems a given that making it homemade would be better but the convenience of the off-the-shelf variety is hard to overstate (and I suspect making it is more expensive).

Any thoughts appreciated.

Mark, your reference appears to be acceptable - main thing to watch for is:

    • carbohydrates minus fiber equals sugar..

    other almond milk info
