Gelatin

Dear Dr. Rosedale,

I have been consuming beef gelatin from grass fed beef, because I was trying to get certain amino acids that I felt would be beneficial. I am wondering if this is a good idea, and whether or not you recommend gelatin in moderation as a source of protein. I have heard you mention that amino acids can have adverse effects on leptin signaling, are certain amino acids more disadvantageous than others?

Thank you for all your informative podcasts,

Laura

    Hi Laura,

Sorry your message has not been answered yet. Dr. Ron just gets a limited amount of time in between lots of travel and research and he first goes through the public question sas other can learn from those as well. Would you mind if I make your question public, your email address will always remain private. This way hoping your question will be answered sooner.

    Many thanks

    Hi Fiona,

Thanks for getting back to me, I thought Dr. Ron must be busy. You have my permission to make the question public, but I would prefer not to have my last name appear.

I have been "googling" for Dr. Ron to see if he has any new podcasts or perhaps a presentation at the AHS. I especially enjoyed his podcasts with Shelley Schlender. Do you know if he has made any new podcasts or presentations?

    Best regards,

    Laura
