Benfotiamine
What would be the dosage for benfotiamine for a non diabetic with insulin resistance?

Hi Diane
I personally take (1) 300mg capsule daily, however, the change in diet to:
====================
• high "good fat" (ie) found in salmon, tuna, avocado, olive oil
• moderate daily protein intake: 50 to 70g — spread out thru roughly 12 hours — more depending if you are into physical training, etc. I try to stay around 50-55g daily (12hrs) this includes any snaks...
• very low fiber carb while making an extra effort to avoid non-fiber carb
====================
This is my approach, others would no doubt have their own way.
My blood sugars currently run 55-85 but, the diet is crucial
• I try to keep that fiber carb around 30-35g daily.. (still learning)
I am still very new at all this — and have lots to learn, needing to make necessary adjustments in my persuit of a healthier life.

I was thinking of adding a benfothiamine supplement to my supplement regime, but came across this and am confused:http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2008/06/080611220431.htm
Anyone have success with berbirine? (Looking at a product called Glucosolve but don't know if it's just hype.) I currently take 100mg r-lipoic acid and am not sure it does anything but maybe act as an antioxidant and weak chelator.

Dr. Ron likes Berberine and we will have it in our new supplements. Though he still likes benfotiamine as well!
