Q. I was so tired on this program that I needed to quit. How do I address the tiredness on this?
A. This can be for many reasons, first you must take Magnesium and potassium when you first start the diet as your body will need them at first for the transition from burning sugar to fat as its main fuel. 2nd, the transition takes about 3 weeks, and what I found was a tired spell right before it all kicked in then I have way more energy then I ever had! But watch out, the body is addicted to sugar, it will try all kinds of tricks with you, it is an addiction and like any addiction takes dedication to break. Your body for those few weeks will CRAVE sugar, work through it as the place on the other side is so much better in so many ways. 3. If you are menstruating still, you might need to check your ferritin, if your iron levels are low you will feel so drained and tired. Don't take iron supplements without testing your ferritin levels as too much iron is not good either.
