Blood Work - Letpin Levels and other results
Good afternoon!
I had some blood work done now that I"m almost 5-months into my lifestyle change.
I have a couple of questions about this. . . it seems that there is a mistake?
In looking at Dr. Rosedale's book - my Leptin level, in terms of
NG/DL should be in the 4-6 NG/DL range.
In looking at my bloodwork from Quest Diagnostics - my leptin
level, in terms of NG/ML is 2.2 NG/ML.
I asked specificailly if this was a typo - if they meant to say
NG/ML (not ng/dl). They said yes, they measure in ML.
Per Quest's Website:
http://www.questdiagnostics.com/testcenter/BUOrderInfo.action?tc=90...
In doing some research 1ML = 100 DL. This would mean that my leptin is 220 NG/DL? This doesn't make sense at all.
If it is, in fact, an error, and it should be NG/DL - then I am still 'too low' (per Dr. Rosedale's book this would be a sign of malnutrition) because I'm below 4.
I have attached my FULL blood work (with appropriate black outs of my personal information).
Please assist me in reading / interpreting this? There are some
Thank you again for your help!

It would appear that these are new / updated lab tests - though the numbers are 'the same' roughly.
So, this still leads me into the question about me being at a 2.2 range - which is technically 'below' where I want to be.
I'm 5'10" - currently weighing in at 185 lbs. I started at 230 lbs. As you can see the rest of my bloodwork is 'okay' (i need some work on my ldl's). I'm not suffering from malnutrition (I don't think). Nor do I have any 'obese' genetic issues.
What else could explain this?

Qwest is not accurate we would have it done at labcorp.
