Flavored balsamic vinegar
I have been on the diet for a week and am loving it so far. I stopped by our local taste of olive store and purchased a cranberry pear balsamic vinegar and a pomegranate balsamic vinegar. Mixed with olive oil, would these flavored balsamic vinegars be alright to use?
Thanks!

Great question. Check the label and see if it is a gram of net carbs (sugar) per teaspoon and you have several teaspoons then that is just really sugar. Let us know what the label says..

I had to call and get the information and they said that there is no sugar added but additionally but that the balsamic itself has 3g of sugar per tablespoon.

Well, that is a little high in sugar though it does taste good.. if you are having 3 table spoons maybe on two salads in a day. So in moderation, or maybe try a little vinegar along with the olive oil. I have also seen some great recipes using mustard etc you might want to look into.

Hi Jeremiah & Jordan
I use a blend of: olive oil, yellow mustard, distilled white vinegar and tabasco. On the hot sauce, "check label for sugary additives".
