Hi all: I have a question regarding HBA1C. Is this metabolize by protein/amino acids and is it the same as AGE (advance glycation end products). I thought it was related to glucose synthesis via carbohydrate consumption. Also, what is the range of normal for this test.

Thank you and looking forward for your response.

The range varies from lab to lab but between 4 - 5.6 is good. HbA1C is a form of glycated hemoglobin.
