Fatty liver
I was recently diagnosed with fatty liver. My Dr wants me on a high carb low fat diet. I have following your diet now for some time and do not want to quit. Down 30 lbs with only 10 to go to goal. Can I stay on the Rosedale Diet with this diagnosis? I do not want to undo everything I have done...al my blood work was great!
Thank you for your response and your diet.
Cindy

The diet is very helpful for fatty liver, and it is the only thing that can lower leptin, and a lowered leptin is what helps fatty liver. You can follow what your standard of practice doctor is recommending and get the standard of practice results, which is the results that have been set forth and supported by pharma. If you want to improve your health you are doing great, seeing the results on the path you are on, if you want the standard of care results and go down the pharma route then follow your doctors archaic dietary recommendations. I think the answer is pretty clear, I would much prefer for you and for me a high fat moderate protein very low carb and no drugs thank you.

We are glad you have found this program as well. You got a fatty liver eating carbs and low fat, and having high leptin for a long time. You can be a great example for your doctor when she sees that you are truly healing and improving on all levels. Hopefully you will have the opportunity to teach your doctor what really works.
We would love to make your message public so others can learn, as always your email will be kept private, would this be ok?

Cindy,
Fatty liver was one of the problems I was having with my liver, my doctor had tests ran plus blood work for 3 months and things were not improving, "wanted to put me on statin drugs" I refused.
Doctor then sent me to a liver specialist, the specialist ran me thru some test of his own. It was during this time that I came across Dr. Ron's diet plan and I had been on it around 8 wks when more blood work was done - seen my family doc and my liver problems are no more.
My blood work was great and with the weight loss my doc told me that if my test remain at least the same when I see him in Dec 2012 he would take me out of the system as being diabetic, which will be great!!! for insurance purposes.
Hang in there,
Ken
