Foods to avoid
In one part of your site, you mention to avoid beets, yams, & tomatoes. Then under "Foods Alllowed in Limited Quanities" & "Foods Not Allowed", you never mention beets, yams & tomatoes. Are beets, yams &tomatoes allowed at all?
Is butter allowed? It is never mentioned anywhere.
Thank you.

Beets, yams are quite high in sugars, tomatoes a few in a salad is ok, but not in large amounts. For the first 3 weeks your body is just learning how to burn fat so just for the first few weeks having a lower fat cottage cheese is ok, but after you pass the first 3 weeks then please go to full fat everything as low fat does contain more sugar.
Once you have become a fat burner you will burn the fat and your cells will operate at a much better efficiency. The main thing is to eliminate none fiber carbohydrates so that would be rice, breads, pasta, cookies etc. Switch out the bad fats like safflower, peanut, sunflower, soybean oils for good oils like; olive, coconut, ghee. Enjoy almonds, eggs, avocados, etc. You might want to opt for full fat sour cream verses full fat yogurt.
Check the labels; carbohydrates - fiber = sugar, you will be able to find some options that are about 3-5 net carbs per serving, this will make a great treat after you have passed your first 3 weeks. Protein; have enough for your body.. depending on your size, sex, and activity level it will probably fall somewhere between 45-75 grams of protein, an egg is about 6-7 grams, chicken the size of a deck of cards is about 15 grams of protein. You can get the book very cheap now at amazon and it will be explained in great detail including a 21 days meal plan.
