I have been on the Rosedale diet now for about 2 months and have lost 25 lbs. I no longer have a goal but want to eat this way forever.

Is there any problem with staying on this diet if I have had pancreatitis?

I seem to be losing a lot of hair. Is there something I am lacking in my diet that I can take to stop this hair loss?

Great job on your success! As far as hair loss on a low-carb diet; Dr. Ron will write a longer science based answer on our site soon. Suffice it to say that it is not that uncommon in women but if it does happen it is temporary over a few months and has to do with lowering insulin. Those that have experienced some hair falling, then also report stronger hair growth coming in. So, this is actually a true sign that inside your body, it is working like clock work and your insulin is lowering. As far as staying on the program, it is a lifestyle, for better long term health the weight loss is really just a side benefit, but there are a whole lot of other great things going on inside you. I have been on the program for almost 5 years and feel great. I also had a little hair loss at around 6 months but lasted just a short time, I added biotin to my supplements so not sure if that is what helped or not.

Would you mind if we made your question public so others can learn as well? I can take your name from the bottom of your email, and your email address would be hidden and private at all times, let us know.

    Best of health.

It would definitely be ok to make my question public.

I want to thank you for answering all of my questions. I am so delighted with this lifestyle...but getting conflicting information from my doctors is the reason for all my questions.

I do not understand why all doctors do not embrace this lifestyle!

    Dear Cindy,
It is quite terrible out there in the world of 'health care'. The structure is all wrong. The medical schools and most hospitals are funded by pharma. Most doctor's practices have their patients covered by health insurance but ONLY if they follow the 'standard of care', that pharma also has their hands in will their patients bills be covered by health insurance. If you look at the American heart Association and the American Diabetes Society, they also recommended the 'standard of care' because.. you got.. they have a lot of donations coming in from sources to make sure they keep the same archaic recommendation, donations from the sugar, grain and pharma industries. Dr. Ron and I found a large hospital chain in India and in our first meeting they stated they were support and funded by an insurance group. This was so exciting for us. We began our process of putting together with them a clinical trial to compare all of the major recommended diets, alongside Dr. Rosedale's diet. We were about 6 months into organizing and having the protocol approved with the last board when a notice came back to us that we needed to change our protocol to 'maintain' all of the drugs the participants were taking. We explained they would not need insulin if their blood sugars were normal, in fact dangerous to have them keep taking it, or to keep taking blood pressure medications if their BP was now normal as well, this is what the Rosedale diet does. They said again we needed to change our diet so that they can maintain the drugs. Though we had asked before we started if they were funded at all by pharma and they had said no, we asked this question again and they sheepishly said yes they were. Cindy, sadly the health care system is about profit not about health, it is about business and share holders and as long as their primary concern is for profit they will never recommend a diet where people can get off their long term drugs and be healthier for a longer period of time. So, in many of the huge organizations where people find a sense of security they need to look under the hood of those 'safe' places. There are a few other great doctors out there, but for them as for Dr. Ron they are met with a lot of resistance from the medical industry. The proof is in the science, and many studies are already published. However there is no other medical group out there that has the same amount of money paid towards marketing and advertising as pharma, a huge percentage of which to geared towards doctors. Diet, cannot be patented, anything natural cannot be patented, the studies that have been done are not backed by billions of dollars to market them to the public for public knowledge.

We are very excited for you that you are on the right path.

    Best of health to you.

I cannot log back in. It keeps saying my email address is not registered...and I forgot my password. Is there any way my account can be reset so I can go back in?

That is odd, I will send in a request to the tender service and see how we can get around it.
