Dear Dr. Rosedale,

thanks for your excellent book! I'm eagerly awating your next book.

Could you please clearify the Omgea 6 / plant fats contradictions in your book and your website?

On the one side you say that nuts, olives and avocadoes are very benefical sources of fat. On the other side you mention frequently here and there that we should maintain a dietary w3:w6 - ratio of ideally 1:1 and that omega 6 fats are unhealthy und pro-inflammatory.

Most nuts are VERY high in omega 6. And even olives and avocadoes are far away from a 1:1 ratio.

So, are nuts unhealthy or not? I really don't understand your logic.

If I follow your dietary recommendations with lots of nuts, olive oil and avocadoes my omega 6 intake is at leat 10-20 times higher than omega 3 intake even if I eat fish every day within the recommended protein range.

The most prevalent fatty acid in nuts is monounsaturated fatty acids. We recommend taking liquid fish oil to balance out omega 6 fatty acids in the diet.
