AH: I have being on a low-carb, hi-protein diet. Reading through the The Rosedale Diet, i realized it was the wrong approach for good health. I wanted to commence on the Rosedale Diet. However......
(01) In my country, I couldn't find a lab to do the leptin test. Can you please tell me where I can get it done? India, Thailand, Hong Kong, Perth in Australia? Anyone of the country will be fine with me. The other tests as per Chapter 10 are available. (02) I need to buy the Rosedale's supplements to commence with the diet. Where can I buy it soonest? (03) Over here, prescriptions are either taken Before Meal or After Meal. Please define With Dinner. (04) Flax, avocado and walnut oil are not readily available. Can I use replace it with VCO or palm oil?

Thank you.

http://www.lalpathlabs.com/ in Delhi can do the labs for you. Do you have coconut oil or olive oil? We are not completed with our supplements just yet, but you can buy most of them at the www.vitaminshoppe.com Or on our website there are links to the specific ones we have liked that you can buy either at the vitamin shoppe or at amazon which might be friendlier for international shipping. http://drrosedale.com/products.htm at the bottom of the page just scroll to see the different supplements and brands we recommend for the time being until we have the Rosedale line back on the market.

    Best of health

    Dear Fiona,

You're God send. Almost giving up as to where I'm going to have my leptin
    test done.

Yes, in Malaysia we have abundance of very good VCO and palm oil besides
the imported olive oil. I suppose I can replace the other good oils with
VCO from the Rosedale Diet Recipes?

OK doki, for now will buy from V'Shoppe. I awaits the good news re Dr
    Rosedale's supplements.

    Fiona,
Am making the necessary arrangement to have my leptin test done in India via a Singapore lab that will be doing the others as per your Chapter Ten guidelines. Thereafter I will do my shopping with Vitamin Shoppe. I may revert to the Plan Plus for the supplements.....starting from " ground zero ' following Dr Ron Rosedale Diet.

2 years ago, I followed Dr Mercola's diet as a MT. Was pretty happy with the results for the last 18 months. Doctors over here confirmed that my diabetes and cardio diseases does not need any more " legal drugs " just after 4 months. Nine months on the diet, my diabetes periphery neuropathy is well under control. I don't have the so called " yip factor" from tee-box to putting green when I exercise playing golf. I still smokes and have an occasional 1 -2 beers after golf. My family practiced Vipassana Meditation studiously.

However, on certain days, I don't feel right even though I was eating according to the MT guidelines. No carb, no sugar, no fruits. Just VCO ( uses a lot of it ), protein and vegetables. Drinks lots of Chinese tea and fresh coconut water. Am in the " yo - yo " stage. I didn't know why? I also stopped taking supplements as it was " not necessary ". Anyway lots of these supplements are isolate/synthetic in my country.

The last 2 months I re-read Dr Ron Rosedale books and articles. I realized I have indulged with more protein. Too excessive! So, I'm back to square one.

I realized that The Rosedale Diet Guide is better. Yes, it may be challenging during the transition period but it will be worth the affords. I have no problems following it.

I will do the test to determine my current health status and determine what supplements are needed. Then I will go on the diet and re-test after 3 - 4 weeks.

BTW, am still studying the supplements. Will come back to you if there are any that needs further clarifications.

    Will keep you posted.

    Dear Alan,
Careful with the coconut water, it depends how ripe the coconut is but often can be full of sugars best to stick with good clean water.

    Best of health.
