Hello!

My name is Leo Svalberg, I'm a big fan of yours Dr. Rosedale. I just wanted to share the following with you, if you have'nt already heard about it. Here in Sweden a scientist in Gothenburg, Mikael Molin, have discoverd a group of enzymes that repair damage in the cell, including DNA, and that the "work" of these enzymes is disturbed by sugar and protein in the diet. He recommend caloric restriction. However, from what I undestand it should be fine to only restrict carbs and proteins, and replace it with fat. Right? Here is the article in question: http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2011/10/111031215938.htm

It would be nice to see you comment this, in your blog for example.

Keep up the good work! From Sweden with Love

    Dear Leo,

Thank you so much for writing and for recognizing Dr. Ron and his tireless work! Actually Dr. Ron published a study which you can read here.. http://drrosedale.com/resources/pdf/Clinical%20Experience%20of%20a%... that actually proves just what you suggested. The Rosedale diet mimics the same results as a calorie controlled diet without calorie controlling. It would be wonderful to put all these people together to be able to spread the word faster.

Just curious, how did you hear about Dr. Ron?

    Best of health,

    Fiona and Dr. Ron

I see, thank you for info about the study and link. I agree it would be great to bring all these people together to turn around the high carb "trend" in society, it would for example be nice if Dr Rosedale one day was interviewed by Dr Andreas Eenfeldt (at Dietdoctor.com) who have interviewed several low carb experts like Dr Phinney (can be seen on YouTube).

How did I hear about Dr Rosedale? I think it was trough Dr Stanley Bass's website, were there is a article by Rosedale posted.

    Best wishes

    Dear Leo,

Thanks for letting us know how you heard about Dr. Ron. We will reach out to Dr. Andreas Eenfeldt, as the interviews do help get the word out there about true health. Also, others making that suggestion as well will always quicken the pace of it coming to fruition.

Best of health, the Rosedale Team.

    Hello!

I was reading Dr Ron's Healt plan in wich he recommends that one eats several smal meals troughout the day, rather than three large meals. However I once saw a video about something called The Leptin Diet (have you heard about it?) and there it was explained that one should stick to three meals a day, seperated by at least four hours in between. It had to do with Leptin of course, hence the name of the diet :)
But I'm thinking, since he was not talking about low carb meals, perhaps those people that base their diet on carbs would benefit from it. But on low carb I'm guessing, since leptin (and insulin) stays low all the time, it should be ok to eat several meals. The body should be back on track, so to speak, faster since the hormonel balance is not rocked as dramatically as with carbs. Does that make sense? What is your take on this?

Also, I read in the book Maintaining Health by R.L. Alsaker that it would be best to eat 2-3 meals per day. He said metabolism need to rest, so snacks are not good. But again, if one limit carbs and eat no more protein than needed, it will go easier on the metabolism machinery (and not activate the SNS), so it should be ok to eat several smal meals.

    Kind regards
    Leo Svalberg
