I participate in long distance races like ultra running and Ironman triathlons. I have a gluten allergy and eat fairly healthy or so I thought but it is hard for me to loose weight. My body has gotten so accustom to the long training.. How do you suggest this way of eating can support the long training and racing? Thanks for your help!

I am also interested in thoughts on this. I have not gotten to Ironman yet, but I do a lot of long distance cycling and participate in sprint and olympic distance triathlons.

Eating fat is a denser and more sustaining energy source than carbohydrates. You might want to carbo load the night before a competition.
