I have a question about Protein. Do you get the same quality protein from canned meats, for example canned chicken or fish. I find it is easier on work days to just open a can of canned chicken for my salad, instead of cooking it.

    Greetings Sheila

I personally use canned, Alaskian wild caught Salmon, for all my meals. I have no proof that it is less quality than frozen or fresh caught. On ocassion such as when camping out or out hiking, I'll use tuna that is in packets.

From Dr. Ron's Website - Nutritional Recommendations

Nutritional Recommendations _ ALLOWED DAILY _ Protein Sources

Fish ― salmon, tuna, mackerel, herring, trout, orange roughy, halibut, etc. Preferably fresh, canned, or frozen. Preparation: baked, poached, smoked or grilled.

    Wishing you the best ..

I use canned mackerel for breakfast and two eggs and get half of my daily requirement of protein that way. Eggs are also a good choice and gives a variation in proteins.
The mackerel also gives me the daily requirement of Omega-3.

Wild Salmon is probably better but I can't buy it here so it's mackerel for me.

I haven't ate mackerel or eggs for awhile now but you are right they are a great source of protein & omega-3. What about veggies?

Thank you for your input .. Much appreciated

I eat much veggies but not for breakfast. I eat them for dinner. Only two meals a day since I just can't eat lunch because I'm full and not hungry..

My last blood test was just excellent and no need for any kind of medications. A year ago I was clearly type 2 diabetc.
