gaining fat

Hi Dr. Rosedale,
Thank you so much for your generosity--sharing so much free
information for our health and vitality! God bless you!
I have been lean for 14 years following a low carb, high protein diet,
but for the past 8 weeks I have really modified my protein (no more
than 75 grams/day) and increased very healthy fats (coconut oil, olive
oil, mct oil, butter, ghee) and have gained body fat and weight. Not
what I was hoping for. Also, I was using low carb protein bars and shakes for snacks, and also cut those out, so I'm consuming only real foods. I exercise regularly and eat only fibrous carbs
(broc, romaine, spinach, leafy greens, celery, asparagus, mushrooms).
I use stevia daily. I make my own dressing using apple cider vinegar,
water, stevia, ceyenne pepper and olive oil or coconut oil. I am 44
years old, female. i supplement with magnesium glycinate, krill oil,
raw B complex (and glutathione at times). What is going on with my fat gain. I hope to hear from you. Thanks for your time, Dr.

    Hi Pam,
    So sorry for the delay as we were on assignment out of the country. Gaining fat; it could be a number of things from hormones to other imbalances. With the fat, we increase fat intake to appease ones hunger, so try reducing that a little and only increase it if you are feeling hungry, allowing your body to feast off the fat you have. While our program is a high fat, moderate protein diet, does not mean you have to add lots more fat to make it work, though there will always be fat in the diet so don't swing the other way and do the dreaded low fat! Glad you stopped the bars and things and they are good for once in a while but not for a daily regime. The next step might be to have your hormones checked and more sure all is inline there.

    Keep us posted, and thank you for your compliments to Dr. Ron, he has impacted the world and so many peoples health it is truly a blessing for sure.
