Vitamin A toxicity
Dr. Rosedale,
I am taking a multivitamin with 10,000 units (Rentinyl palmitrate
and Beta-Carotene mix) . Is 4 caps per day excessive?
thanks,
John

Hi John,
This does seem excessive. 10,000 total or 4 x times that amount? for what are you taking it?

I'm take 4 multivitamins a day, based on Dr Rosedale's recommendation in his book.

I have generally recommend 'a multi vitamin' as so many are very different in their content, but I do not believe I have ever said 4.

Dr. Rosedale,
By the way, I have found your advice and book very helpful for controlling
my weight and diabetes. I have lost 100 lbs and my last A1c in April was 5.4
(high of 7.1) and blood glucose is rarely over 100, even an hour after
eating. My question was in regards to taking 2 multivitamins twice a day (4
/day). The multi-vitamin contains 10,000 units each. Would 4 capsules
(40,000 units) per day be an excessive amount? I currently take 1 capsule
twice a day.
Thanks,
John McArter

You have done wonderful, it does work as you can see.
Only 1 multivit 2x daily would be fine. There is also lots of Vit A in fish oil..

Hi John,
That is awesome! Thank you for sharing. We are working on a new section on our website, kind of like a testimonial section but with the specs on what drugs people changed and their labs numbers like you shared. I would love to be able to share your data, would that be ok? and also if you are brave to share photos as this gives people such encouragement to do the same as you have done, before and current photos really drives it home to people that this is doable.
Great job John, keep up the good work.

Fiona,
I would be happy to assist in anyway. I must underscore that my health
improvement has taken about 2 years to reach and I still have about 30 lbs
to lose.
thanks,
John

That is 50 lbs a year, that is wonderful. It seems when people loose weight steady like you have it does seem to be a longer term change for sure, bet it took your more than 2 years to gain it ;-). Thank you for your support.
