I have a doubt about Dr. Rosedale diet program
Respected Sir,
Hi Sir. I' m Ishwarya from India. I followed your program for more than 1 year and reduced upto 15 kgs of weight. After stopping the diet , again my weight got increased upto 3 kgs. So now again i started your fat diet. So now i'm eating 4 eggs per day (2 eggs in morning as a break fast and 2 eggs for lunch with some vegetables). I wont eat any other fat items except these eggs. I have 1 doubt sir, Whether eating 4 eggs per day will increase the cholesterol level and will create a heart attack?. Please clear my doubt Sir..
Thanks & Regards

Ishwarya,
You did a wonderful job! Remember it is not only losing the extra fat you have, but also the direction you took to a healthier you, so much more was going on in your body that you might not of been aware of. Too much sugar and sugar forming foods can feed cancer cells, reducing your sugar and sugar forming foods will open your arteries more thus giving your heart a much easier time. A brain that is fed on foods from the Rosedale programme is a lot healthier, sharper and more focused. Glycation (happens in the body when you eat sugar and sugar forming foods like rice, potatoes, fruits) causes all kinds of problems, aches and pains in the joints and much more. If you are vegetarian, make sure you are getting enough protein, the eggs will be perfect and a very healthy option, 4 eggs will give you about 24-28 grams of protein, most people will need anywhere from 40-65 grams of protein depending on if they are a man or woman, pregnant, very active etc.
Any questions we are here for you, don't hesitate to ask and keep up the great work!

Ishwarya,
I wouldn't worry too much about the eggs if I were you. Dietary cholesterol rarely raises cholesterol in the absence of carbohydrate. I eat at least 18 eggs per week and my total cholesterol stays under 130 as well as low triglycerides and good HDL/LDL numbers as well.

Respected sir,
Thanks for your reply. Sir still i have doubt , sorry for inconvenience. I'm eating two eggs in the morning for break fast and two eggs in the afternoon as a lunch. I'm an Indian and vegetarian too. so i can eat 1ly eggs, i cant eat some other non veg other than egg. But still i cant avoid some carbohydrates in night. I'm eating ragi dosa in night for dinner. Whether ragi contains carbohydrates?. Whether there is any problem if we eat eggs as well as little bit of carbohydrates sir. Because here in India , its unable to prepare food items ignoring carbohydrates. Its too tough to avoid carbohydrates totaly. Can you give solution for this mail sir.

Dear Ishwarya,
We have spent a lot of time in India ourselves. Being a vegetarian your protein sources are limited, with eggs being your best option for a complete protein. I would not recommend having your high carbohydrate meal at night as then you will go to sleep and your body will be working hard to try to burn off that sugar, and then the fast burning sugar fuel will be hungry for more, taking it from your bones and muscle, in addition you will then be quite hungry in the morning. If you must have carbs, then have them in the middle of the day if at all. We have found that following the diet in India was actually a lot easier, you have amazing spices which gives all the vegetables great flavor, paneer dishes we miss so much. It might just be your perception that you 'must' eat carbohydrates. Also sugar is addictive, carbs are addictive, is it 'you' that wants the carb meal at night or your addiction?
Wishing you the best of health.
Nameste.
