Dear Dr Rosedale,
Namaskars. We attended the health course in Oneness university in India
in 2009.My husband wanted
to contact you to get some clarifications from you .we had a videoconference
when you were in India .

since we have been guided by Sri Bhagavan all these years we felt you are
the best person to help us with our
queries about health.we love your diet and the contribution you make for
mankind.thank you for all that.

My husband went for health check up.
His cholestrol levels are
                                 total cholesterol *242 *mg/dL
(140-200)
                                 triglyceride *362 *mg/dL
(25-180)
                                 hdl 42 mg/dL (35-60)
                                 ldl direct 128 mg/dL (80-130)

 his sugar levels are normal.
so total cholesterol and triglyceride is high.

The doctor says he should take storefib daily one for his lifetime for
cholesterol.

since we know about your health plan and have been following it by reducing
carb intake and taking diet food
(we are vegetarians) we thought of mailing you to know if it is necessary to
take medicine for triglycerides .

We want to know if by following your health plan ,medication can be avoided.
Please email us to know how do we reduce the triglycerides.

Thanks and regards

    Dear Shobhana,

This is wonderful news that you have continued the diet. Storefib, is a statin drug and Dr. Rosedale strongly suggests that no one should take any type of statin for the case you described. One can get your triglycerides exactly where they need to be by following the diet. By following the diet we mean really following it, not just in the morning, or a few days a week, this is a life style change that will allow you to avoid much pain and disease in the future. There are many articles explaining the true story of cholesterol on our website, http://www.drrosedale.com/rosedale_writing.htm the third article down, in fact please read all of them. It is very important that you educate yourself, as most doctors are being educated by the pharmaceutical industry, which is in the business of profit primarily. You are not alone, statins are wrongly issued like candy all over the world, it is one the largest profit making drugs out there.

We also have some great news for you, Dr. Rosedale has been working hard formulating a capsule for India ingredients that he has had great success in treating his patients with for over 20 years, in addition to items we have found laking in the diet here. Super Capsules, we hope to have at the temple and also at our office in Chennai in about a month.

    Wishing you health and happiness,

    The Rosedale Team.

Also wanted to check that you are getting enough omega 3's, which is found in ground flax seeds, or flax oil, and fish etc, as it is so very important to have in your diet.

    Namaste,

    The Rosedale Team.

    Dear Fiona,
Namaste, Thanks for your immediate reply.
we have decided to follow the diet strictly.
(once in a while we were tempted to have some carbohydates)

he is not taking the medicine and wants to follow the diet and reduce the
    cholesterol
levels .we get flax seed oil so we will take it daily

we are vegetarians and we now take boiled eggs 2 per day for protein intake
    is it fine?
soups salads vegetables greens nuts are the only available option for us in
    our indian
method of cooking.Because all these years we were taking too much rice
starch or cereals in our food and now the diet gives us very less option of
food variety. It would be of great help if
you send some diet chart with respect to indian vegetarian food.

    thanks

    Dear Shobhana,

I have some diet recipes that were given to us in Chennai, but we have not been able to check all the ingredients. As you know the diet well you will be able to spot right away what is a sugar forming food and not to use it, but the general idea of some of them I feel should be good. We found a great treat while we were in Sri Lanka and ordered egg curry with no rice. The meal came and a big bowl of rice came too, we smiled and handing back the rice, saying we did not need it, they smiled and put it back and said it is coconut! It looked like rice in size and texture, but it was indeed coconut, which tasted wonderful with the egg curry! It is a tough transition for sure, we India has some of the best breads in the world. Being creative with the sprouted grains, for the occasional rotie, or stevia and almond flour to make nice treats though we know the almond are a little expensive still in India. Let me know if you also come up with any good recipes so that we can share them around, or better still we can possibly post on our web site. Attached are some recipes, the first one is actually from a hotel in Calcutta where the host made the whole menu rosedale approved, there is mixed veg and non veg items on there but will give you an idea.

    All the best.

    The Rosedale Team.

    Hi Rosedale Team,

I need to implement the rosedale diet for my mother with diabetis and kidney issues. I would like to give 2 eggs at a time (6 eggs per day) and nothing else like veggies. Can we do that for her.

I found the sugar levels around 200 when i have given her 2 eggs + cooked vegetables at 3 times a day. Not sure why this is working for her. These veggies are not starches like carrot and potatoes.

Does this only 6 eggs perday plan works for my mother ?

    Regards,
    Venkat Sompalli

The 6 eggs a day will work, but I agree it does not make sense why the veggies are raising her BS to 200? Can you tell me what type of veggies they are and cooked in what kind of oil? What about paneer to add a little variety.

Thank you Fiona, Sorry about late response. We live in india. My mother is using the vegetables except the ones not grown in ground(potato, carette etc), but still atleast the sugar readings are coming upto 175. So what i have done is i reduced the quantity of cooked/grilled veggies to a small cup and combining with boiled egges, sunnyside omlettes. We use only ghee and olive oil.

If veggies are combined with grilled chicken then its raising BS upto 200, 214 etc. I know the chickens are not organic and solely grainfed. I am using paneer, thx.
Let me know any suggestions. Thanks. Many Happy newyear wishes.

    Regards,
    Venkat Sompalli
