Hi there,
My husband and I are very interested in trying this out to maintain a healthy body. We are both fit and active.
My question is – I am a vegetarian; I do eat cheese (no milk), no fish but sometimes eggs. Is there any suggestions for a vegetarian trying to work a high fat/protein lifestyle?

Also – my husband is a body builder, he loves his protein shakes with milk. He is a little shaky about the idea of giving up milk but will consider it if there is a smart/filling alternative. Any suggestions for him?

Thank you in advance.
Sincerely,
Brandy

    Dear Brandy,

We spent a lot of time in india and helped launch a health program there where most of the participants were vegetarian. It is wonderful that you are eating eggs, and this was the saving grace with the groups in India. Eggs are an amazing complete protein, which we have found is hard to find in most typical vegetarian meals that are not together with sugar forming foods. Check out our website, http://drrosedale.com/healthplan.htm and at the bottom is the downloadable food chart which includes many vegetarian foods. Regarding your husband and drinking milk, at least with his body building he will burn a lot of that sugar off but as long as he knows that milk is not a 'health drink'. There are several posts here you can read through about milk and Dr. Ron's thoughts on milk and soy.

Wishing you the best of health.
