Bariatric surgery (RNY) and your eating plan
I know you don't recommend bariatric surgery as a solution to fat loss, but if a person has had the surgery, is your eating plan a good plan to follow? The dietician I saw suggests high protein, moderate carbs, and low fat intake. When I questioned her regarding the carbs, she said "without carbs you will die." She wasn't talking about low-carb veggies, either. She was talking pasta, bread, etc.
Any advice would be very helpful, as it's impossible to get good information from the medical establishment.
Thanks,
Debbie

Firstly, we are so happy to see you are doubting this information and doing your own research. This is a fantastic step in the right direction. Clearly your dietitian is working from old knowledge and not what all modern science has already proven. Following her recommended diet, similar to the American Heart Association and the American Diabetic Association, will only keep the nation in the health disaster that it is in today. The ADA and AHA who recommend these diets maintain and worsens a person's disease, as they are funded by pharma and the grain and sugar societies. They are unwilling to change their recommendation as it maintain the profits of the share holders and financial supporters of these large corporations that fund the medical organizations. Carbohydrates are not an essential nutrient; this is fact. Ask the dietician why carbohydrates are not essential if one would die without them. I would find yourself another nutritionist that is not so gullible about the large organizations that are funded for profit and not for health. I am sure you did not get yourself in this problem to start with by following a low carb, higher fat, moderate protein diet. Einstein had a wonderful saying; 'Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results'. Debbie, you know what is right and what is not. Follow the truth of science and sadly not medical/corporate organizations.
Keep up the good work and researching yourself for the true answers that will ultimately get you to better health.

The Rosedale diet is a fine diet after bariatric surgery. One has to just make sure to eat small meals/snacks of the foods that we recommend.
Best of Health.
