only been proven over and over again to work. There is not changes
to it. It is very simple. Very low carbohydrate, high fat, moderate
protein. If you are eating a potato you eating a big bowl of sugar.
Read the book and it will explain everything. Also on our blog you
can get lots of interviews and papers which only really support all
that is in the book.</p></div>Fionatag:drrosedale.tenderapp.com,2010-09-16:Comment/293429422013-10-11T23:22:53Z2013-10-11T23:22:53ZRosedale Book<div><p>Thank you Fiona. I have read most of the book. I am glad there
are not changes! Someone on a comment said it is outdated.<br>
With the health problems I have I look forward to proving any
critic wrong.</p>
<p>I do need some advice on the supplements. I cannot get all of
those for a few reasons. The ALA looks important. Can you tell me ,
can you do this life plan without all those? I am allergic to many
meds and keep my supplements to a multi, vit D , am resuming mag.,
co q10 and fish oil. Also a C. Thanks for your help.</p></div>kjf1215tag:drrosedale.tenderapp.com,2010-09-16:Comment/293429422013-10-11T23:36:33Z2013-10-11T23:36:33ZRosedale Book<div><p>It is amazing, but all of the science and trials and data only
keep supporting what Dr. Ron has been saying all along, it has
taken them long enough to catch up! His knowing that one must keep
it to moderate protein fro 20 years ago is now finally being
supported by all the studies on mTOR (high protein stimulating
cancer). The only addition would be that now there is stevia which
is a better sweetener if you must have one. Also fish, would be
best to use fresh wild deep sea fish because of the metal content
in farm fish. It does not go without saying to opt for organic over
other options.<br>
Your list sounds like a good start. Make sure your fish oil is
fresh and stored in a glass bottle, and that your COQ10 in the oil
form and not the powdered one, and add a potassium. You have great
questions. I would love to make your question public, while
maintaining your email as private, would you approve this? There
are some others on the site that would also give you some great
advice who area a few years ahead of your journey.</p></div>Fionatag:drrosedale.tenderapp.com,2010-09-16:Comment/293429422013-10-11T23:47:28Z2013-10-11T23:47:28ZRosedale Book<div><p>Of course....anything we can learn from one another...!! My fish

<p>• <em>You said:</em> <strong>(I am teetering
on high blood pressure so Potassium a great idea but how much
?)</strong></p>
<p>Potassium does play a role in regulating Blood Pressure. <em>The
how much</em>, would be determined by the amount you are getting
from your food.</p>
<p>In Dr. Ron's book is information about potassium.</p>
<p>I am not a trained health or medical type person so I can not
give any specifics in the amount that you should be getting each
day.</p>
<p>This online tool will get you in the ball park of how much
potassium is in the food you eat. <a href=
"http://nutritiondata.self.com/">Nutrition Facts</a></p>
<p><strong>I am not endorsing this info but it is a good read
>></strong> <a href=

Potassium Requirements</a></p>
<p>It's true, Dr. Ron's book was published some time ago —
however, the guidelines within those pages are timeless as my
health has greatly improved over this past year since I have
followed them and serves as my own personal testament..</p>
<p>I encourage you to reread the book ever now and then - things
will start to gel together as you start seeing the truth that is
written.</p>
<p>Wishing you the best of health ..</p>

<p>Do you know what kind of bread , or cracker Dr . Ron recommends
now? Is it the same as in the book? Or does he now like gluten free
items?<br>
(I tried them , gave up oatmeal as well) thank you</p></div>kjf1215tag:drrosedale.tenderapp.com,2010-09-16:Comment/293429422013-10-12T09:17:35Z2013-10-12T09:18:43ZRosedale Book<div><p>You're welcome kjf1215..</p>
<p>At the moment I don't know of any changes Dr. Ron has made
concerning the eating of bread or cracker outside what he has
listed in his book. There may be some changes in his new material
that he is working on.</p>
<p>I too gave up oatmeal, which I loved, grew up eating it - it is
recommended by many doctors for diabetic patients, which is akin to
pouring gasoline on a fire - I would eat around a cup of oatmeal in
the morning and my Blood Sugar would stay close to 200 all day. The
standard diabetic diet that is promoted by many among the medical
profession is a slow killer. Dr. Ron's method has proven that to
me, it has literally saved me from an early grave.</p>
<p><strong>You mentioned a natural diuretic</strong> - Dr. Ron's
health plan causes just that but is safe. I had a lot of water
retention, I would say at least 30 or so years but didn't realize
had bad it was until I started using Dr. Ron's plan. I am not only
declared by my doctor as being non-diabetic but also have been able
to get off 6 daily meds for my high blood pressure, "which I
struggled with about 26 years" and that it was never really
controlled but I sure went through a rough time with some of the
meds that were prescribed.</p>
<p>I have had absolutely amazing results while using Dr. Ron's plan
- it is simple yet very profound in it's work within the human
body.</p>
<p><strong>You ask</strong> <em>"how I can keep up to date on the
newest ideas Dr. Rosedale has"</em></p>

Thanks again, you are so encouraging. Yes, with my BP (they are
threatening medication) high, 30 lbs of fluid, what helps BP ???
Oatmeal .<br>
I did the Irish oats, really, have done everything "right" , no
cookies, cakes, treats. And am worse as I would try occasional
GFree bread,<br>
and a baked potato!! Was told over and over eat them for
potassium.</p>
<p>I am glad you have made progress and my deepest thanks for
encouragement!!</p>

<p>Always look at the labels, carbohydrate - fiber = net cars aka
sugars. There are some other low carb breads out there like low
carber from whole foods that I believe has 4 net carbs per slice.
In my first year of transitioning I used to feel the 'need' for
bread but not any more. It is very much a mind set, but there are
foods out there to get your over that transition for sure.</p></div>Fionatag:drrosedale.tenderapp.com,2010-09-16:Comment/293429422013-10-12T18:00:26Z2013-10-12T18:00:26ZRosedale Book<div><p>Decaf coffee, you asked on a private Face book message is

have not lost any weight.<br>
It is not hard to follow for me as I did not eat gluten products ,
"junk" anyway. The only change was making sure to add good fats to
my daily diet. I am discouraged and was wondering if anyone else
faced this problem.</p>
<p>I also wondered if spaghetti squash is okay to eat!</p>
<p>Thank you so much,</p>

<strong>spaghetti</strong> = not good carbs.</p>

<p>I was thinking you had a special recipe w/spaghetti & squash
mixture.</p>
<p>Squash according to this has a good amount of sugar per cup
>> <a href=
"http://nutritiondata.self.com/facts/vegetables-and-vegetable-products/2748/2">
Squash</a></p>
<p>It is good that you are seeking answers - it's heading in the
right direction ..</p>
<p>Ken Smith, Farmington, Mo.</p></div>Kentag:drrosedale.tenderapp.com,2010-09-16:Comment/293429422013-10-31T01:35:22Z2015-01-29T20:26:49ZRosedale Book<div><p>Kathy just an aside: cause I'm not familiar with Zucchini/Squash
- will have to excuse me but I don't get out much :-)</p>
<p>According to this <a href=
"http://nutritiondata.self.com/facts/vegetables-and-vegetable-products/2639/2">
Zucchini - Squash</a> are basically the same <em>with
Zucchini being a member of the Squash family</em></p>
<p>Broccoli & Cauliflower also have basically same amount of
sugar ..</p>
<p>Zucchini, Broccoli, Cauliflower is on the A List - therefore it
seems reasonable that Squash would be okay</p>
