This is 2010 almost 2011 and I can't seem to find anything that is current - WHY?
I am looking for a diet for my husband *(64) and my self
(56).
I would like to think that there should be some current postings,
blogs, books, data.......whatever, that is from this year. With all
the new information about our bodies and how it works, why hasn't
anything new or current been posted. Even your website shows a 2009
date on the bottom.
Just curious.

The Rosedale diet is based on science, science that works, deeper science that has not changed for 20 years and only now are the health institutions starting to adopt it.
There are new studies coming out everyday, which only further support this program. Dr. Rosedale is constantly researching for anything new, but the 'new' data only supports what he has been teaching all these years.
Just recently 5 articles from large health organizations were promoting amazing breakthroughs in medicine. Sadly Dr Rosedale wrote about these 'breakthroughs', or presented in medical talks, and published in papers, over 15 years ago.
So the 'new data' I am sorry to say is actually data that in the science field has been out for many years, but the health and medical industry lags far behind.
They spend many years and dollars trying to patent a product that can produce the similar, even inferior results with hidden side effects in order to profit from the 'new' finding.
Take leptin, a powerful hormone for example, which is controlled with diet, and has miraculous effects on ones health. Dr. Rosedale has spoken about the importance of leptin for over 10 years, and insulin considerably longer, but the health industry has been trying to patent a product, a 'magic' pill that they can market that reduces leptin, and others that purport to raise it. They miss the meaning of the science behind it.
The Rosedale Diet is based in science, real, true science, that is still the most accurate, best, and current science available. Those that read it will get that.
Most others will only get to hear the 'marketed version' of insulin "sensitizers" and leptin when there is a marketed pill. Then it will be publicized all over as a 'new' way of health.
Doctors many years ago called Dr. Rosedale a visionary and 20 years ahead of his time. They were right. Dr Rosedale has always been way ahead of the curve. There are two new books that will be coming out; again nothing new on the diet but just new data and studies that support it.
If you are looking for 'new' then you might be attracted to some of the fad diets out there that get a lot of media hype and seem glamorous and exciting.
These diets will work for a short time, when people will switch to the next 'new' diet.
The results one gets from many of these diets is yoyo dieting...worse than if you did nothing. Other 'diets' may even result in some weight loss, but not necessarily in their overall health. Weight loss and health are not synonymous. You lose weight when you take arsenic.
Our program is not about short term gains, but about long term health and longevity, and as a result to burn fat effectively. In the deep roots of science, the rules do not change every year.
In the past 3 years, Dr. Rosedale has been reaching the masses on a global scale, creating health retreats in India for example. This has been a great success as they are the 'leaders' in the incidence of diabetes in the world. The world is following the U.S. lead in medicine, and Dr. Rosedale is so appalled at how people are being medically treated, in the name of profits over health, that he knew he needed to take his science on a global scale.
We wish you all the best in your new life style. You might also drop in on the Rosedale Diet support group on yahoo. It is a wonderful group of people that are either just starting the lifestyle or have been doing so for a long time, and they share their amazing stories with others in support. Collectively they have tried just about everything, new and old, out there. They are purely a group of people that are not paid or funded by us; just a group who feel that the truth needs to be known about health. We are also working on a blog as well, that will be up and running in the next few weeks.
Health and Happiness
The Rosedale team.

Thank you so much for your reply. I knew nothing about this diet until I read about it in a book called "Living Low Carb" by Jonny Bowden. I appreciate your email and will purchase Dr. Rosedale's book, join the support group and see where it takes us. Health is everything.
Miriam

;-) yes, health is everything for sure, changes the whole direction in which one is traveling. You can get the book on amazon for as low as $7, well worth it. Enjoy.
