If this is a valid concern, specifically what can we do to mitigate the long term effects without including starchy carbohydrates routinely or including carbohydrate re-feeds?

jenludlowtag:drrosedale.tenderapp.com,2010-09-16:Comment/423409022017-04-11T17:24:57Z2017-04-11T17:24:57ZMucin deficiency?

Hi Jen,

There would be no glucose deficiency due to following Dr. Rosedale's Diet ..

Gluconeogenesis

Gluconeogenesis is the conversion of non-carbohydrate sources (pyrovate, amino acids from protein, and glycerol from fat)
to glucose.

Gluconeogenesis is a metabolic process in the human body that results in the making of glucose / sugar from non-carbohydrates, such as protein and fat.

Using the Rosedale Diet just shy of 5 years now, no problems on my end.
