I recently purchased Dr. Rosedale's book "The Rosedale Diet" and I have a few questions. I have been eating Gluten Free for about 5 years and I try to avoid all dairy now. I do this because of stomach problems. I find that if I eat foods with gluten or dairy I have gas, bloating, constipation etc.... My question about the diet is will I be able to find enough variety with the diet since I avoid eggs, cheeses, and all gluten. Also, do you think following the diet will help my stomach to be able to digest foods better? I take digestive enzymes at every meal and they help some but I still have issues. Also, is it ok to have the same thing for breakfast every day? I usually have a protein drink(no whey in it) most mornings.
Thank you,
Chris

    Dear Chris,

We have seen the diet help many with digestive issues. We actually have a whey protein drink every morning too, for years! I have heard Rosedale say that if you do have too much of any one thing everyday you can sometimes create an allergy towards it. So far with the whey, we are doing great. As far as being too restrictive it is all a matter of perception. If you were vegetarian and also not eating diary then, well, that would be tough. There are so many other things to eat, you will be just fine.
