Do i calculate my protein right??
Hello
I recently bought the book '' The Rosedale Diet'' and i was trying to
calculate the ideal portion of protein in grams i should eat a day, and i am
not sure about my results.
Here i am a female, 42 years old, my weight is 162 pounds. My waist is equal
to my adjusted hip measurement so if i understand well i take 162/2 = 81
grams of protein a day. Do you find that is enought?
Best Regards

A piece of chicken about the size of a deck of cards is approx. 2.5 oz containing around 15 grams protein...most of rest (55 gm.) is water and fat in that order. 1 egg is about 6 grams of protein. How tall are you? I am around 5.8, and I weigh around 130 pounds, (60kg). then minus some fat (we have to have some fat!) to get your lein body mass, so i aim for around 52-55 grams of protein a day, I have more if I am being more active.
Hope this helps.
