Dr Doctor Rosedale

I've read one of the discussions on Metformin where you recommend Benfortiamine siting it as a better option. My question: Does Metformin and Benfortiamine cause escalation of diabetes in cases where the patient is not even prediabetic yet. I have a digestive functional problem brought on by stress which pushes up my blood sugar.

Kind Regards

Gavin

I have not been able to ask this question to Dr. Rosedale direct yet, but I know that many take Benfortiamine that are not diabetic.

    Hope this helps.

This answer Dr. Rosedale had answered before and is in our knowledge base.

Metformin to support losing weight for non diabetic people?

Would you recommend metformin to support losing weight diets for non diabetic people?

The quick answer is, no. Doing the diet will give you 100 times better results.

Benfortiamine is a much better option, which takes glucose and makes ribose out of it, thus enhances the genetic funcion. Where as metformin makes glucose into lactic acid which is not good, but for sure not as bad as sugar.
