So in answer to your question. Following a way of life, food and diet that makes the body work as it should, it is an amazing machine when we do not abuse it. You want you to lose fat, not weight as you would with most other diets. You will though gain lean mass (muscle) and bone which do weight a little heavier. It happens, it works, it is the foundation of your body, and works for the long term health of your body, the side effects are losing fat if you have extra or gaining if you are too skinny. There is a great forum on yahoo, you have to have a yahoo email to join, but the group there is very active and will be great support for you, many even post where they are eating and the group get you back on track where you might be going wrong a little, try it.
