In Ireland we do not have manna bread or low carbohydrate bread. What are the alternatives to these

So in answer to your question. I know that in India they did not have such a thing either, so there we recommended sprouting the grains as this reduces the sugar, but there they do that and make their own breads in many house holds traditionally. I know there are many recipes online for low carb breads, using flax seeds, almond flour etc. The guys there at http://www.julianbakery.com/ might also be able to give you some points as to what is there in Ireland. Also there are some fakes out there, so check the label, carbs - fiber = the real sugar often totally different from the sugar they list. If you can get anything close to 4-6 sugars grams per slice you are doing pretty good. At Julians they have mastered it to 2 net carbs which is fantastic, but they also use high quality ingredients.
