Dr. Rosedale's Diet

All look very good. One question which lab tested the leptin?
and also, I looked though the web site of the supplements that you
mentioned, not sure which one you are taking as many had calcium
added.

You are both doing so well it makes it so much easier when both
do the plan together!

Keep up the good work.

Fionatag:drrosedale.tenderapp.com,2010-09-16:Comment/69329692011-05-02T13:12:04Z2011-05-18T09:05:26ZQuestions ref. Dr. Rosedale's Diet

Thanks Fiona!

Leptin test was performed by Hybritech Chemiluminescent
Immunoassay on the
Beckman Access.

Melaleuca vitamins we're taking are:

Vitality Total Nutrition for Men 50+

We are also taking 2 scoops of Fiber Wise every evening before
going to bed
mixed with 10 oz. of water.

Weight loss continues but we do have periods of hunger. Some
days more
than others. Energy levels have increased due to the weight loss
and by
giving our digestive system a rest.

Looking forward to more information from you in ref. to Leptin
levels.
Also I would expect that my blood pressure should drop some more as
I loose
more weight. Not sure if it will stabilize and eliminate the
fluctuations!
What do you think? What is your standard on blood pressure?

interesting article from someone that tested the absorption and
quality of supplements sold. I cannot stand behind what is reported
there, and have no idea who did the study. However, we here at the
Rosedale group always recommend a capsule over a 'tablet'. I
compared the ingredients between a simple multi that we have used
from twinlabs, which can be found at the vitamin shoppe, and the
ingredients on most of the listed items were a lot higher with twin
labs than the one you are taking. Also, hopefully you are both
taking a good fresh fish oil. The fiberwise you mentioned, the
second 'other ingredient' is fructose, and 12 grams of sugar and
maltodextrin, taking it just before bed when your digestive system
should be having a nice rest! It is only my opinion but anything
with fructose never makes it in to my basket or Dr. Rosedales.
Fructose is more harmful than sugar. Also products with
maltodextrin, even more so those promoting themselves to be selling
a healthy product, clearly do not know the science of health. There
are many companies out there, that do a wonderful job of marketing,
but not many make it past the Rosedale approval, especially when
profit comes several lines above health.
