High blood glucose in ketonic state

HI together,

I´m LC since a couple of years and following since 4 month really strictly the LCHF diet. I´m an active person (2-3 times a week cycling; addtionaly 1-2 times running - total 5-6 hrs) and I´m having ketone levels 1.1-2,7 constantly.

But I have blood glucose levels about 140-155 - as well constantly. In the morning fasting glucose of 140; today I had for breakfast a coffee with some milk and coconut oil, went on the bike for 2 hrs and came back with a 160 blood glucose..!!??

I read the Rosedale diet, watched all available Youtube stuff about LCHF, podcasts - I really would concern myself informed about the whole topic. The only thing I could find out is Dr. Eric Berg telling something about a "physical insulin resistance" - which is obviously different from the "pathologic insulin resistance".

It is true, that I have a poor sleep at night - and stress at work - but that´s why I´m on this diet... More that frustrated I´m getting concerned because the blood glucose levels are very high.

Any advice on that? Thanks in advance

    • 1) Stress -- includes over exercising ( most people do not realize )

    • 2) Too much protein ( a possibility )

    • 3) Coffee. Milk -- not good

Get the book Rosedale Diet and follow the recommendations.
