I was swollen pretty good.

All kinds of stuff started taking place. I was able to get off all those meds and shots for diabetes and high blood pressure - my BP range averaged around 160/190 top - 90/110 bottom (28 years I struggled with high BP - Diabetes T2 around 12 years, probably longer). My energy soared when the fat burning started its thing.

These things began to happen within the 3 - 5 week range.

My situation is a little different, I lost about 25 Kg in the last 18 months on a low carb 100gm protein diet (Atkins) when I found the Rosedale diet about a week ago. I don't think I will lose much more water unless it will be due to more weight loss.
I guess, I'll just have to wait and see how my BP goes.
Thanks

fhutttag:drrosedale.tenderapp.com,2010-09-16:Comment/427178732017-06-10T00:16:14Z2017-06-10T00:16:14ZDiuretics on the diet

Fhutt, that 100g protein will be a huge hindrance for weight loss. That's why Dr. Rosedale does not care much for the term Ketogenic (while many see a low carb ketogenic diet meaning one can have such a large amount of protein) which Dr. Rosedale's Diet is a moderate protein diet ( the body will only use a certain amount of protein ) at any given time - the rest will be store as fat.

I am not concentrating on weight loss at the moment. I want to get into burning fat properly first. Then maybe improve insulin and leptin sensitivity and then, I think more weight loss will come more naturally. I only have about 8kg weight loss to go - I've lost 26kg already (just hope I don't put on any weight in the meantime).

fhutttag:drrosedale.tenderapp.com,2010-09-16:Comment/427178732017-06-10T00:48:29Z2017-06-10T00:48:29ZDiuretics on the diet

As insulin/leptin improves then the fat burning will do its thing - then the weight loss will happen ( if needed ).

In the past, (maybe 25 years) I tried everything to reduce my blood pressure to remove the duiretic without any luck. Maybe it was the insulin/leptin resistance causing it.
I will find out in the weeks to come (I hope).

fhutttag:drrosedale.tenderapp.com,2010-09-16:Comment/427178732017-06-10T00:59:27Z2017-06-10T00:59:27ZDiuretics on the diet

We are wishing you the best..
