Pink Himalayan Salt vs Sea Salt vs Iodised Salt

The last time i dug into this whole "which salt is best ?" issue (about 5 years ago) I came down on the side
of Himalayan Salt on the grounds that it provides a full range of minerals that our body needs.
Including good levels of iodine and boron (most of us are hugely deficient in both iodine and boron)
So i have been happy adding Himalayan Salt to everything.... for the last 5 years... or so.

Now I am concerned by the high levels of iron, calcium and copper in Himalayan Salt.
There is also the argument that Himalayan Salt contains radioactive elements like
plutonium, thorium and uranium. And poisons like lead, mercury and thallium.
So I think a review of this Himalayan Salt issue is about due.

The argument that Iodised salt (regular salt with added iodine) is better than regular
salt precisely because of the added iodine is a good one.

And on various keto blogs and youtube keto videos i have heard "sea salt" come up
a number of times. I have no idea how much iodine (or other minerals) is/are contained
in sea salt.

All this leads me neatly to the point of post.
Is there any Rosedale advice regarding salt ?
What's the Rosedale advice regarding salt ?

Thanks to any one, and every one, that responds.

regards

Sebastian

Somewhere I read a comment by Dr. Rosedale were he alluded to salt by saying, something along the line of, "use discretion (desecration-oops!)" some may be sensitive to salt. I do not recollect him mentioning anything about any particular type such as the Himalayan you mentioned above.

It is very seldom that I use any type of salt for seasoning, I figure if it was a critical issue Dr. Rosedale would make mention of it in a more pronounced way.

    Hi Ken,

    How are you feeling ?

    1. How is your new lower protein intake working out for you ?
    2. Are you suggesting we treat salt with contempt ?
Here's what google tells me about the meaning of desecretion:
    desecrate ˈdɛsɪkreɪt/
verb 1. to treat with violent disrespect.
eg: "more than 300 graves were desecrated"
I guess you meant discretion. :-)
    3. So salt is relatively unimportant ? To be used sparingly ?

I look forward to reading your answers :-)
    Have a nice day.
    Sebastian :-)

    • I do not sense anything different with lowered protein (yet)
