Too low in calories

Hello to everyone,

I have started once again the Rosedale and although I am having fatty and watery stools I feel ok. I am using the Fitday website to monitor everything that I eat and have noticed that I am eating on average barely 900 calories and I rarely arrive over 1000. Based on my metabolical rate I should be eating more than 2000 calories. The fact is that I am not hungry or I don't feel like to eat. Before Rosedale I was hungry all the time. Now I barely reach 900 calories and wonder, is this fine? Or should I be forcing myself to eat more?

Thank you for the answer in advance,

Kle

No need to force yourself to eat. Dr. Ron says. "eat when you are hungry".

    • Too much magnesium or fat/oil/fish oil can create a runny stool. I would begin by checking your magnesium intake, try taking less - Dr. Ron mentions this in his Book.

As your body becomes more insulin/leptin sensitive the better things will be - be sure to give yourself, time to adjust. Your body will tell you when you need more calories.

    • Those that suffer from IBS will need to make some adjustments in their dietary intake, this will vary per individual, and there is no one menu for all.

    Dear Ken,

fortunately I am noticing that my stools are improving. I am taking only the multivitamin, one of magnesium and the Greenpasture olive oil. My stools have much improved after I started to limit fiber and maintain 70% of fat but with adding supplements day by day as I am going to introduce all others supplements too. Doing everything slower seems to be working.

Looks that the past two times when I started it, I did everything too fast and it was probably too much for my gut. I then added some enzyme as dr Rosedale suggested to take it so hope that by the end of the week the stool will be perfect.

Very happy that I don't need to force myself to eat. It' so strange to not feel the need to go to the fridge! This time I made a good mental preparation cause I have already prepared all the recipes that I will do using coconut oil etc.... This reassure me that I will still be able to enjoy in food but I just need to discover more and more healthy recipes that I like.

Thanks for your assistance as always,

    Kle

Kle you have given my day a super beginning - Great to hear that you are making Dr. Ron's Diet your own, it is what I and others have done. Also glad that you are taking things slow this time around.

    • Discovering the benefits of the Rosedale Diet, "on a personal level", is a marvelous journey..

Wishing you the best Kle, do keep us informed on how things are going for you.
